I am Robert Spary-Smith

Born in The Wirral | Grew up in Sussex | Studied in Buckinghamshire | Based in London

I have been making short films and adverts for over 10 years now. I studied Film Production, before heading into running on TV shows, then onto Soho for edit assisting and also as the classic self-shooter behind-the-scenes type person.

About 8 years ago I began directing commercials and content. In that time I’ve created an award winning short film, Cannes Lions and British Arrows winning cinema advert for The Prince’s Trust, worked on award winning projects for the likes of CALM and Marmite and I have created work for brands such as Lexus, Sony, John Lewis, Lloyds Bank, Carphone Warehouse, Lastminute.com, Drench, Fosters, Airwaves, The Telegraph, IAMS, Bulldog, The Halifax and the male suicide charity CALM.

I love my job and always look forward to the start of a new project from the initial conversation, to meeting all the team along the way and staying with the project through to its completion. I am able to move between self-shooting, to working with and directing large crews.
